  You're looking at about 50+ for 4GB and 95+ for 8GB. If you're getting gaming RAMs etc then they will naturally cost more

  Any ideas if normal ram can be used in macbook pro? I ordered mine from OWC and am planning to buy a piece of 8gb ram.

  Does mixing brands causes any problems?

  Normal ram meaning desktop ram? You have to use notebook rams, its highly recommended that you get the same brand with the same frequency and same amount of memory.
