Upgrading part by part

  Is it wise to upgrade the PSU (to 750w) and a graphics card (GTX 680) first? My friend is selling his Grahphics card and i'm quite tempted to get it. But i'm afraid my motherboard couldn't handle it. Or could it? Current Specs: H55M-e33 (micro atx i assume) i3 530 radeon 5770 PSU 500w 4gb memory windows 7 64bit

  if the gc is able to fit in the slot at yr mb then it should work...since its yr friend, test 1st be4 buying...the psu is rather low, if yr pc got too many peripherals, yr pc might loop rebooting due to insufficient power.

  my mobo does support PCI-ex16. GTX 680 is definitely compatible. I will also upgrade my PSU to 750w as well, i'm just worried that the graphics card is unbalanced with my processor. I'm a computer idiot, not pro on these kind of stuff : x

  no problem dont upgrade. later system phase out fast you upgrade again?

  Actually got a lot of problems. Always kena BSOD due to RAM management etc etc, i suspect it's my RAM failing. Graphics card making loud sound and shutting off my monitor, need to adjust then it will work. Suspect it's the motherboard mount. only my processor stay strong with me. hah

  try changing a cheap coin lithum battery at the mobo first and see if bios feedback so many problem again.

   

  try not to alwasy plug in and out cbales and components internally in your PC, they are meant to be 'internal' so most accessories insude are not like USB HDMI cables plug and play type, you plug them out often such probelm can happen. maybe reorientatet your case to lay flat instad of standing.

   

  if wanna revamp might as well get all complete new components. For gegernal web applciations and general computer usage less than 1k can get a rather good new all parts first hand setup already.

   

  note windows XP ending microsoft support next year 2014 Arpil.
