HELLO EVERYONE.
I've got a problem (again)
Well, the thing is, my screen freezes up for no reason!
Its my brand new 2 days old Dell desktop.
The freezing up happened after i installed a Nvidia GT 520 grahic card on my own and after i installed the necessary software (Nvidia drivers)
So... i have no idea why is this happening and everytime it happens i force shutdown my comp and restarts and it will work fine, till it happens again.
Anyone has any idea why is this happening? Could it be a hardware fault or software conflict?
Cause i performed a 'clean installation' of the Nvidia drivers.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
maybe motherboard and the video card conflict? try download the latest video card driver online?
search online for the error message you're getting, perhaps other dell users also facing the same error message and they managed to have a fix for it?
I have noted smth. Everytime i am trying to install new updates from windows update. It freezes

I have no idea the motherboard's model and make, and i recently updated the driver spftware. But when i was using the old gt520 software, also got freeze before. Now update alr, also still freeze
I deal with problem every day.
You've probably voided the warranty by installing your own GPU, but take it out an RTM it asap.
Otherwise, download 'speedfan' (use your google) and monitor the temperatures before it freezes of both the card and the CPU.
Possibly you knocked a CPU mount when installing the GPU or the GPU isnt working properly - the heat will tell you either of these things.
Another option if heat is ok, then look to installing older Nvidia drivers - but it's rare to be a driver problem with Nvidia - they are usually very stable.
wonder why he put his desktop in the freezer?
Hello
You could have accidentally bumped into the RAM while installing, causing a bad connection, try resitting your RAMs.
Also, after installing your GPU, ensure that it is still properly aligned(properly paralleled?) with the PCI-Express slot. Sometimes a 'tilted' installation may cause random freezing.
Ensure that you have secured the GPU to the casing, but not too tightly.
Do you have conflicting drivers? - since most probably the Dell comes with a dedicated/shared graphics unit too.
Also, does removing the graphics card solve the problem?
Else you can contact Dell customer service for advice (since it's 2 days old) however, by opening the case, you may have already voided the warranty of the PC
I can't even reach my desktop today.
In the process of booting, it states a file check has been sceduled, then ends and then reboots itself over and over again.
You think pressing esc or f2 helps?
Nobody can help?
Haiz.
