  Hi, I'm not sure if this's the correct place to post this thread but, do anyone know which software can be used to create some simple picture video? Other than Window Movie Maker? Are there any other software that have more effect?

  I use Camtasia, by TechSmith. It's a very popular video making software. The cost is very expensive due to it's wide variety of functions. I use it for Education purposes.

  you want simple sildshow picture video, win movie maker is what you need so you can use it instead of wasting your energy searching a another software. i believe what you want is put some music, add photos with trnsition win movie maker from XP is enough. don;t worry it won;t hang with your application. as long as no larger movie vlips file manipulation involved.
