Hello ,
Is it possible to build a gaming pc at budget $2100 SGD ? Including monitor, mouse and keyboard. I want it able to play games like Battlefield 3 and Skyrim on high settings. Is it possible ? Can anyone kindly list out the components because i have no idea where to start with T_T.
Thanks ! ^^
$2,100 is a large budget.
Let's talk business there.
Visit: http://machtechnology.blogspot.com for some ideas on what you can get.
Edit : * The budget has gone up to $3100 *
I saw your post at SGClub.

the most high end mobo and the top notch latest fastest intelprocessor.
2 graphics card running crossfire (make sure mobo cupports 2 pci-e slots okay)
4 raptors running 0,1,0+1 or solid state drives be my guest
1000w PSU - won;t be overkill lah
a water cooled cases with plenty of colling fans here and there
optical drive 40 bucks or less can buy 1 oredi
some mouse and keyboards branding costs - look out for those
sound system? many out there, you may want a separate sound card to go with it?
display - as i wrote 50" 1
modem - ex up to 100~200 wirless ones also got
if you intend to play online make sure to pay for the monthly subscriptino to the fastest speed your ISP can provide if not a fast machine under slow network is a piece of slow machine
okay lets do the maths - you think even a budget 3100$ c an help?
I am certain that for a good gaming rig system you definitely need around 3000++....coz i built my 3 months ago for 3200++ .... anything less i doubt make sense at all.....^^
really meh?
one mobo and processor combo about - 1k
2 cards running crossfire about 1k each - 2k already
harddisk no raid only 1 raptor 300gig - about $400
the rest i don;t count in yet
so 3100 enuff? no second hand stuff okies
Aiyoh u are toking about super high end...like tat at least also need 5k and above....TS dun even have that kind of money...3k++ can build a decent gaming rig liao la...pls la
no need lah. 1.5k can build one already. and 1.5k includes the OS - all originals hardware to software, no need second hand1.
blanace $600 i will pay angel7030 on 1 day 'photoshoot' whole day.
Pls la no way 1.5k can build a pc playing battlefield 3 with graphics at max la....u list the specs throwing in everything la...show us...
Battle field 3 sys requirements
http://bf3blog.com/battlefield-3-system-requirements/
processor quadcore minimum and mobo - choose any uATX and the older quadcore (not even i3) - around S$400
Get a case with at least 550watts psu bundled ~ S$70
graphcis card Radeon 6950 1GBDDR~ S$400 plus minus
HDD - old dear this one now price go up, but the cheapest 500GB- S$115
Win7 64 retail - S$359 / OEM only on one mobo - S$115 (take the later to cut cost)
RAM (4GB) 2x2GB (2x S$35/-) - S$70 (PC800 for older quadcore board, Kingston is cheaper)
Monitor LCD (decent 20") - max S$180/-
Keyboard and mouse - both adds up about S$50/-
Wireless modem or hybrid with networking cable S$80/-
No sound card
Speakers - any idea? shouldnt cost too much?
know the game requirements and nail down on where you can save on cash (OS/mobo and processor) to make up for the graphics card requirement where the cost is higher - yep 1.5K plus minus is possible.
as for Skyrim - if the machine can run battlefield3, it can run skyrim - lets not discuss about skyrim - i know the game and sys requirements inside out
hmmm..sounds like u intend to build a 3 lcd display gaming computer .when lcds are angled around you like a surround view thing....it should be great!just like a real time simulator
i love battlefield 1941 or 1944.sweet,simple,addictive and realistic.
i bought my com march this year ..
gigabyte UD4 B3 bundle with i5 2500 - est $525
western digital blue 1tb - $89
dvdrw- $22
gigabyte GTX 460 SE OC 1gb - $322
team elite 4gb ram ddr3 1333mhz - $56
cooler master casing - $56
cooler master 650w 80+ PSU - $125
2X 12 inch fan - $15
acer 18` monintor - $128

after discount 1.3k and should be ok with some ocing .. even with stock cpu fan T.T
it plays BF3 decently and no problem with skyrim

Kind of retarded, they all have 'meh' casings and power supplies.
And no, you do not have to use an AMD card with an AMD CPU.
Did ts mention "play games like Battlefield 3 and Skyrim on high settings". Hence I just sharing some specs and requirements to run those games on HIGH SETTINGS.
Just curious asking - why is System Cooling: Corsair Hydro Series H100 being chosen? Is there a rumor about a default haulback for Corsair H100?
I def feel a decent gaming rig need at least 3k to build to run some of the games in high setting...coz i spend a decent amount of close to 3.5k on building my gaming rig...and i still feels that i could achieve a better machine..except i ran out of cash...><"
