Have you ever had someone give you a 'fake' warranty on a product?
For example, let's say I order a custom PC and the shop gives 1 year warranty. However, when they put it together, they make a loose connection or something on the power supply. So after a while the PC does not function well and I bring it back, they fix the problem using the warranty. Now if there is a real problem, I'll have to pay for it.
Have you ever heard of such things?
pillow would be more qualified to answer your question. Give him a pm :-)
So for 1 year period, that PC is covered under warranty, and any problems diagnose that results not from the user, is rectified FOC.
So if it doesn't function well because they didn't put it together properly, and found not to be because you messed with it, while under the warranty, why would they charge you? Anyway most PC components like HDD, and motherboards are covered under their individual warranty, so the shop can also tell you, don't bother them go find the individual supplier.
The warranty lets them exchange the parts for you FOC.
After their 'warranty' is over, you'll have to bring the parts back to their respective distributors as the parts commonly have a longer warranty period than the shop's 'warranty'.
