Hello guys erm recently my laptop died and I want to build a gaming computer but I have no idea how to buy the parts I only know how to assemble them as I watch the videos on Youtube so I was wondering if you guys can help me by giving a list of components I should get I don't need Monitor,Mouse and keyboard and I also don't need the disc for windows 7 as I already had one and installed in my lousy dekstop so I was hoping that you guys can help me buy giving me a list of the components and the prices for them I dont intend to buy them all at once I will be saving up slowly to get the parts 1 by 1 as Im still a student and not much money :( so thanks if you could help me :)
I will be happy if the computer will run LoL and BlackShot without lag :)
Its 8 October 2010 :O

once you get the components you roughly would like to have then post it here, and many experienced gurus like raraken, 7484p, overclocker(r) will come to help you

What is your budget? This config doesn't look good.
Ha ha that I jus tpost for fun for opinions I guess my budget will be about under 2k or maybe around 1.5k+ or 1.6k+
I will recommend this build:
CPU+MB: Intel Core i5-2500 + Biostar TP67B+ @ $386
RAM: Kingston ValueRAM DDR3-1333 CL9 4GB X2 @ $76
GPU: Sapphire HD 6950 2GB Dirt3 @ $379
HDD: Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB @ $68
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B3ST 24X DvDRW SATA @ $36
PSU: FSP Aurum 500W [80 Plus Gold] @ $115
CASE: Antec One Hundred Lite @ $75
Total: $1135
Optional upgrade: 120GB Intel 320 Series Gen3 SSD @ $308
Since you are using the PC for gaming, there is no need to get Intel Core i7.
Intel SSD is a bit slow but stable as compared to those SSD using sandforce controller.
Wow thanks erm mind adding me on MSN?And erm if I were to like use AMD instead of Intel will it be cheaper and whats the diffrence? :O
LoL and Blackshot are the most un-demanding games one can find out there.
Here's what I'd recommend, since you're working under a tight budget:
Core i3 2100
Asus P8H61-M
2x 2GB KVR1333D3N9
WD Caviar Blue 500GB
Sapphire HD5770 (A great card at a great price now)
FSP Aurum AU-400 PSU
Samsung SH-223C DVD Writer
CM 341 Chassis
And of course, genuine Windows 7.
Should you need a monitor, do consider the Dell U2311H for $269. It may be costly up front, but the 3-year warranty and superior panel technology speaks volumes.
I will be able to build this entire system at your residence, for a nominal fee of just $35, excluding the cost of parts of course.
Additional items such as fans can be provided at slightly extra cost should you require them.
Please let me know if you're interested; I've sent you a PM in which you can find methods to get back to me.
Regards
Erm I dont understand what you are trying you are trying to tell me LOL >< erm maybe I will be playing other games not just Blackshot and LoL I play this 2 because my friends are playing them :)
What other games do you play then?

That thing will eat L4D2 up for breakfast.
Seriously.
Why is that so?

i5 2500 and 2500k price not much difference, since he got the budget why go for 2500...even he doesn't overclock, but he might need the performance in future.
For the optional upgrade, the crucial M4/c300 will be a better choice. High speed and is stable too(non-sandforce). Normal home users do not really require the enterprise-like features of the 320 SSD.

Crucial M4/C300 SSD has high failure rate as compared to intel.
Intel 320 series SSD is recommended for most home users or for those whose budget can squeeze in a SSD.
ooo :O

All the games you play are barely demanding.
Heck, my Pentium D + HD4550 (a six-year old computer) maxes out L4D2 at 1440x900.
Maybe thats your point of view and how are them undemanding?

Why does the M4/C300 have a higher failure rate? The NAND flash used by Intel and Micron/Crucial are all manufactured by Micron.
So do you mean Micron firmware/ Marvell controller is lousier compared to Intel firmware and controller?
