hi,
something is wrong with my battery!when i put in my battery to charge, the battery icon on the bottom right shows "no battery detected". then when i plug out my adaptor to run on battery, the battery icon shows "unknown remaining".
i have tried removing and cleaning the battery but still not helpful.
help!
since you did not mention which product, I shall assume its a laptop/netbook..
did you put in the battery correctly? perhaps it might be due to some faulty connectors of either the batt or the laptop/netbook..
lastly, the battery could be faulty & needs replacing..
yeah im using a acer laptop. i have already replaced the battery with the service centre once. zzz acer battery sucks -.-
here's a tip, when u're at home using ur lappy, always make it a point to remove the batt & plug in the a/c power..
only when u're out then you make use of the lappy battery..
that's what i always do...not the first time experiencing problems with acer battery liao.
time to change to other brands liao in that case..
but seriously, nowdays things are made not meant to last otherwise how will they earn $$$..

If the battery does actually get charged, then the problem probably lies on your OS or the hardware being unable to detect battery.

True, but with the correct usage, should last at least 2-5 years.

To ts, sadly, it might be a case of a dying battery.

Might not be the case too, since he mentioned he change the battery before and it happen again. Anyway need testing to confirm.
sent an email to acer service centre. hope they get back to me soon...
I got a problem with this with my Acer laptop some time back too.
Apparently, I fixed it by unplugging my laptop from AC, shutting down, remove battery, hold power button for 5 sec, then reinsert battery and switch on. YMMV.
Raraken can you help me? :O
