Computer time keep changing back to 12:00AM 1st Jan 2000

  Recently I change my computer's date cause it was said to fix some bug in a particular game I play.. After that I change back to the latest date. However whenever I on the computer, the time will change back to 12:00AM 1st Jan 2000, causing some problems for my computer. Any solutions?

  go to your BIOS and change it to the current date.

  Check your time polling.

  If the time keeps resetting after changing in BIOS, your motherboard's battery is now dead.

  Get another battery or get a new board.

  Most probably CMOs battery is dead, changing it should solve the problem.
