Hi
I just got a new lappy and I realised I cannot watch the youtube movies. I had tried the suggested solution by the website but to no avail.
I removed whatever version of flash I had in the system using the uninstaller and reinstall the latest version. I also remove the download manager but still cannot watch the movie.
However, I can watch those clip that is attached to eg, Yahoo's new etc...
Can anyone help?
Thanks a lot

Flash installed? How about memory protection, is it disabled?

yes, flash ver 10
err... memory protection ? what is that ?
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced.
Under security look for memory protection, uncheck the option.
Also check if ActiveX is enabled.
Should work if FB works.

You need to uncheck the option in Administrator mode. Try right click and run-as. Make sure you use an account with administrative privileges.

You should be able to run the self-extractor named firefoxportableapps.exe or something like that.
After than it creates a folder called firefox
run firefoxportable.exe
Try the website you having issues with.

Hey ... it works !!!! thanks alot ...
I think the problem most likely is due to the ActiveX controls on your IE.
Using alternative browsers such as Firefox or Chrome should ease the trouble configuring ActiveX (and also lower security risks when trying to manage ActiveX).

noted and thanks again
try uninstall the flash player. download the exe file installer and try again. sometime activex did not work due to proxy cache error. it always happen. good luck.
