So i was doing coursework using my school's pc (win xp) and we were finishing up and were asked to save, as usual. So we have to save in our own individual thumb drives first then save it into teacher's external hard drive to back up our courseworks so that when shit happens, we still have the back up. So i saved and replace the original coursework of mine with the updated coursework in my THUMBDRIVE. Then i proceeded into saving the new coursework into the external hard drive but it says that the file is currently used and it can't be saved bla bla bla when clearly the word document isn't even opened. I then tried using the manual way, going to my coursework, manually pressing the 'save as...' thing, finding the external hard drive and saving into it, this time it says that the file is a read-only file bla bla bla, again it failed to save. Keep it mind that the saving has been fine all along until just now, which i don't understand. Also, everytime when i save, i have both the external hard drive and thumbdrive inserted into the ports available at the same time. I've asked around and some has stated that it's probably because of the macro things. For the first few times when i started my saving, i disabled the macros but later i enabled them so that i could start copy and pasting which then my problem started, need desperate help pls!
