Hi Everybody
I am using netbook.
Each time when I type, the cursor will jump to other position.
Why does that happen?
I tried to type lowly, it is ok.
And it quite frustrated esp the cursor jump to other place while u speed type.
Please advice.
Thanks and kindest regards.
Touchpad sensitivity? Take note also of the following keys that may be stucked:
Home
End
PgUp
PgDown
Directional Keys
Tab
Enter
Hi Nel, all the keys you mention looks fine. I dnt think it is atouchpad sensitivity. My netbook is not exp nor blanded. A prolink netbook.
If the keys are not stuck, you are not using a mouse, perform a check for malware.
You may try the following list of malware detection:
MalwareBytes
SuperAntiSpyware
Combofix
ThreatExpert
Of course, the best is to understand exactly what is the list of startup process and try to type using OSK to see if the same problem can be replicated.
If osk.exe (go to start > run and type osk and click ok, this is the windows onscreen keyboard) also having issues, most likely OS/malware.
However, if OSK works fine, all directional keys etc are not stuck, touchpad turned off the keys still jump, then most likely is hardware fault. Cost of repairing a netbook may not be cost effective.
might also be whenever you type you accidentally touch the mousepad. try just turning it off and getting a usb mouse to see if the situation still occurs.

hi Thunder, i am using a usb mouse.i am also typing out on osk.
i am testing out without the usb mouse pad and typing in speed. So far the cursor did not jump into other places and cusor never move back a few letters.
Seem like the usb mouse pad is the main source of problem.
Is there a feature to disable it? Some software vendor do bundle in some applications that can lower sensitivity, disabling with hotkey features.
You might wanna explore.

Try this:

Note: Change BIOS settings only if you are confident. BIOS settings can affect hardware performance.
Not too sure if your netbook has an FN key, check if it has and if there's an option on the F1 to 12 keys to disable the touchpad

Hi Ken, yes there is a FN key at the left hand side (below) keyboard.
I am not sure where is the option F1 to F12 to disable the touchpad. What is the picture like?
Thanks for your help.

found this online:
too sensitive is better than not sensitive imo.. :D go to prolink's website and search for an updated touchpad driver.. normally if there are numerous complaints over over sensitivitiy the manufacturer will relase a fix in an updated driver.
Hi Ken, ok, will try this and will go prolink web to check.
Recently I bought a usb keyboard cost $14 (A1PRO) plug into the netbook. And the problem solved.....but then I will unplug and try out your method.
Thanks ya for your help espcially the pic you post FN + F7 key.
