Is 86 degrees celsius on a GPU safe?

  Whats the normal? It could be running 10000degC and it could still be considered ok.

  i checked around, hd5450 on stress test is around 55-60 degrees, if yours can hit 86, i think maybe your cpu airflow not good. try to clean out the dust on the gpu and cpu fans, but then again, if it doesn't crash your pc, then it's still okay, but try to do the cleaning. i tink the card max temp is 100++ degrees

  Max safe temperature for GPUs hang at about 105C. If your 5450 is running passive, put a small 40-60mm fan on the heatsink or make sure there is adequate airflow around the card.
