Hi, anybody know where can get cheap LCD tv repaired? My LG spoilt no image but everything else works fine... anyone know what's the problem and can it be diy repaired?

Replaced with a 32" lg LCD cost me $550.. i just thought can learn some basic repair from here. The condition of my old tv still very good just no image i think is the backlight or pcb spoilt..
The service center wan charge me $300-$500 for the repair.. what an ass

If the TV is still under warranty, they have no reason to charge you for repairs.
Unless it can be determined that the user was the cause of the issue.
For example, water damage can easily be identified. -
these things are so cheap these days they are not worth repairing

Pardon me for asking this, why do you still get an LG?
Samsung, Sharp and Sony are good alternatives.

Cheaper as compared to last time. Last time, 32 inch LCD televisions are at the upper hundreds to a thousand or more.
Now it's a friction of the cost.

TS if u really want to repair u can google if anyone had diy repaired the tv before. usually is the back light that is spoil. u will have to open up ur tv in order to see what is spoil. good luck.
