TV programme via laptop

  Hi, Kind of, how to go about watching Singapore channel among others via laptop? Is there any device (model etc) and configuration needed? Can the TV programme be stored in the hardisk and at a preset timing! Thks!

  By TV channels i presume would be Local channels - and occasionally a jumbled malaysia channel right?

   

  First up, http://video.xin.msn.com/browse/tv  - you can watch all recent local shows like (Point of entry, city beat ect... ) via LEGAL web streaming - Free of charge 

  or get something like this. 

  

  Usb tuner - install drivers, install software and you are done. 

  Depending on the tuner, some allows you to record your shows at a specific time (if your laptop is switched on at that time), some don't.

  There's Digital and Analog TV, for digital, as far as I recall there are only Channel 5, 8, and Channel NewsAsia available. TVMobile used to be aired, but I heard it was recently replaced with a 3D TV trial.
