unable to detect WD hdd

I ve been scammed by sim lim square shop ,I bought a western digital hard disk at this shop 500 g went back n installed it on my comp but it cannot be detected went back to shop for an exchange but was told cannot be done n i have to go back to wd to the xchange while clearly stated in thier brochure they give a 3 yr warranty ,now im stuck with an unusable hd waiting to be xchange unknowing if could be done so shoppers beware of this shop called bizgram asia located on the fifth floor of sim lim sq.

Do you know that 1/4 of the shops there are owned and operated by the same group of people? My fren used to work for them! Yes, they are nasty sales ppl. Every year or so, they'll change the name of the shops (after scamming alot of clients). Be warned.

How long was the duration between buying and exchanging?
If i'm not wrong, only can exchange within one week and that the 3 yr warranty by the orignal manufacturer is not wrong.I would even probably not buy if the warranty was from the shop.
When i bought my DIY pc, each part had a warranty by its own manufacturer and not by the shop itself. This is the case with most shops if i'm not wrong, anyway, in future, ask before buying to be safe.

WD is the maker of the product
the shop is just selling
so go to WD and stop waiting and whining -
If the cable came with 2 standard usb heads, plug both in. Your comp's single USB port might not have enough amps to power it, hence unable to detect it.

oh, it's oso could be a problem between keyboard and chair, not the hdd

Unless the computer is very old, it should be enough to power a HDD through a single USB.

I have alredy xchange the hd ,but why must they state 3 yrs on site warranty when they cant keep thier part of the deal thier reciept n phamplet clearly shows isnt it misleading very bad reputation if tourist were to be scammed like this ,guys the reputation of this state is in stake n its not whining but an important issue that must be dealt with till u xperience it unless u got any connection with sim lim shops( fireice).

3 days on site warranty of Western Digital and not the shop. You cant blame anyone since you didn't ask.
Tourist probably will know it. Since if buying from another country, they should like know beforehand if there's international warranty before buying, if not have to come back singapore to repair.
Whining or not i dont know, but i can tell you that the shop is not at fault.

i think ppl mistook the meaning of warranty.
