Help with gaming desktop & laptop!!

  Hello!

  I need help for DIY laptop/desktop!

  1)Should i get a laptop or a desktop for gaming?

  2)If i get a desktop, i plan to build the desktop myself by getting all the individual parts and assembling it myself. So i need some guide to advice me what components i need for a good gaming desktop(Smooth gameplay, good graphics).

   

  P.S I'm a student so my budget will be around 1.5k plus minus! And the games i'll be playing are those like COD:Black ops to crysis kind. So to all the experts out there i hope you can help me out! Any advice and suggestions will be greatly appreciated! THANKS ALOT!(:

  There's no such thing as 100% DIY laptop...but if you're looking to get, you should be able to find it on dell/alienware website.

  1) desktop is more worth.

  2)Graphics card most important...as for other stuff, there is a sticky on this forum which will assist you with your choice.

  definitely a DIY desktop. several shops offer a DIY package. just buy all the parts from the one shop and get them to assemble and test.

  if you are doing a DIY desktop. look for the hole. all of them got different hole (connection part) which only fit to each other

  Wow okay. That looks interesting! I should be able to get all these from sim lim right? Do you know of any reliable shops by chance? I got scammed once in sim lim before so i'm abit uncertain about that place. I heard PCthemes is a good shop?
