It just happened after I switched on my notebook. A whole lot of my icons dissappeared and many data was lost, for example many files in My Documents were lost. There's also this notice at my sidebar about my windows switching to a default profile, and that I should check the event log.
It happened before but everything will revert back to normal after I restarted my windows.
Is this a virus or just software problem? And how can I fix it? Better to go to agent or simlin?
Please help, Thanks!

Just by seeing what you said, i cant confirm what happen, bbut i believe is software problem.
To play safe, why dont you just do a virus scan see what happens?
Unless the error is only solveable by agent, its always best to DIY, can save costs also.
issue resolved?
if not, try checking on the items below first
1 - how much free space is in your c: drive
if your c: drive is fully used up, on shutdown, your pc would not be able to save your profile so it will become corrupted.
2 - check if your profile is still there
go to start> control panel> system>
click the advance tab (WinXP) or advance system setting (WinVista)>
Look for user profile> click settings under user profile>
is your profile still there?
3 - did you try to do a system recovery?
