I bought a new Laptop.
Toshiba L635 Satelite series.
The specs are:
Intel® CoreTM i5-430M processor 2.26GHz with Turbo Boost Technology up to 2.53GHz
Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 32-bit
4GB Ram
Ati Mobility Radeon HD 5145
2 Gb Video Memory
Problem: i was playing L4D 2 on this laptop all on low settings to feel safe. And there I was playing and it suddenly shuts down.I was running smoothly when it shut down. When it shuts down,it creates a click like sound. This problem persists with every game that I have tried except with those with very low requirements like Halo 1.
Can you guys tell me whats the problem ):?
P.S : I am very depressed about this....
Sounds like an overheating problem, do you use your laptop on the bed?

No,I use it on my study table and I have a cooling pad for the laptop itself.
Try running CoreTemp, GPU-Z and SpeedFan, activate their temperature logging feature, and game with your laptop until a forced shutdown occurs. Boot up the lappy and read the logs to determine whether it is caused by overheating.
Yes it is overheating.
My fan is making weird small noises and the laptop has a clicking sound when is shutsdown...
Even when I am playing games that require low specs like MapleStory,it still auto shutdown.
When it shuts down,it makes a clicking sound.
If I had known this would've happen to me I would have bought a better laptop ..
):
So are you going to bring your laptop for repair?
Or planning to buy a new one at this weekend at expo?
this laptop is quite new.
advice, get rid of the cooling pad.
maybe have virus
Toshiba laptops are known to overheat. HP for that matter too - to the extent of a mass recall of it's Nvdia 8400MGS graphics card due to a bad solder and high temperatures.
