Oh my gosh... I use M1 mobile broadband. I got slow connection every single time and day except at 2 am until 8 am in the morning Monday until Friday. Saturday and Sunday is the worst.
Sometimes I have to disconnect and reconnect 10 times and flushing dns countless times to get a good connection just for opening basic webpage such as mail or Facebook.
Moreover, I play World of Warcraft. Oh my gosh...its sometimes impossible to login, nearly impossible to render the graphic in the game and i got 300++ latency, u got disconnection almost every 30 minutes. Im gonna buy another ISP tommorow.
So guys, this is part of my experience with M1. Thanks for reading ^^
yes. despite being the pioneer in mobile BB, it's the lousiest,
so far i tried all red, green and orange
red is still the most stable but it does haf times when unable to connect
bcos there are too many hoggers (those on iphones, smartphones) who are leaving the connection constantly on
there is oni so much a base station can handle
and orange is buying bandwidth from the red.
so there.

You can't expect to get fast speed when using wireless.
And distance from the attenna(of base station) affects.
I wonder why people keep thinking that doing flush dns is good.
flush dns only slows down your connection, your computer(or whatever) will have to request a new dns which only helps in increasing latency.
But i did hear that M1's dns server is slow, and people changing to OpenDNS's servers helped in the speed.
Mobile BB is for on-the-move connectivity, you should get home broadband instead.
I don't even trust the red, you think I would trust orange?
Good thing i din change to M1 BB
I still using Singtel BB...that is the broadband device
but come 10pm, start to lag a little, connection lost....
thinking of upgrading to a faster plan
mobile broadband is wireless after all, i dont understand why people are expecting alot from it.
Stop complaining and get home broadband.
@Mr Milo
no point doing that, up to 90% of bandwidth is gone due to wireless depending on your distance from base station. So you're paying alot just for a seriously small increase.
The more pple using wireless, the more lagging?
The less pple using broadband, the less lagging?
Make sense?
I hv thought of switching to wireless M1 and terminate my singtel (home resident and internet) to save cost.....now really need to seriously think over.
To be honest, all 3 service providers provide the same service level regardless. It is only a matter of how many users are on their pipes. The lesser the better, coz you don't share it with as many people. So if you want something more stable, you should get people to sign up their services with someone else other than the one you're using. Get it?
Right bro!
i'm currently using M1 mobile broadband, with the SIM card put into my phone. works quite fine most of the time, except sometimes quite lag. 1Mbps plan anyway. i'm just gonna change to StarHub once this contract expires and my home broadband expires..
