1st time builder needs assurance

  My greetings to forumers,

  Im building a GAMING RIG that can last me around 2-2.5 years. I planned out my items so that they are easy to replace with better items in the future.

  I did my research of shops at SLS using some of their pricelists. Total price of items is S$1999

   I'm thinking of buying these items at Video-pro.com internet shop and potterhouse.net. it will only cost $4 more.

  Excellent parts you got there! Very good cooler, great motherboard, but the RAM may pose an issue, since the Ripjaws kits are meant for Intel, not AMD. If you can find the GSkill Flare kits that would be great, but you probably won't get the most out of the Ripjaws. The graphics card is an excellent choice, but the PSU might be a bit overkill for the system, unless you plan on doing CrossFire a year or two down the road. Other than that, it's a pretty good system for gaming, the Thuban CPU won't let you down.

  Yeah man~

  I did have second thoughts about the RAM but its in the MOBO's qualified vendor and products list. As far as i read Thuban likes thighter RAM timings so yeah man.

  Potterhouse has an excellent delivery service. I'd suggest the net, if I were you.

  The list is good, but i'm not sure if you really require a 6-core for gaming.
