I assume that you mean GTX465.
Anyway, desktop graphics card are able to play most games without lag.
Only DX11 games then maybe some will lag a little.
So what games do you mean?
The 870 and the P55-GD65 are good choices.
RAM is fine.
Western Digital HDDs are better, IMO, though you may want to opt for a 1TB drive instead?
DVD writer is standard.
The F550 PSU is an excellent bang-for-the-buck PSU, can't go wrong.
Graphics card wise, GTX460 is the best card for the money right now. You should go for the Palit GTX460 1GB Sonic Platinum card.
I wouldn't recommend Seagate.
WD, Samsung or Hitachi, but not Seagate.
What is your budget?
Core i7 860 + MSI P55 GD65
~$645
Team Elite DDR3-1333 2x2gb
~$123
Seagate 500gb ~ $58
Western Digital Carvier Black 500gb
~$82
LG DVD
Writer
~$35
Andyson F550
~$87
MSI N460GTX 1GB OC CYCLONE
~$375
Cooler Master 690 Casing
~$130
Total
~$1453
HardDisk wise, u can choose either one of them, not saying your system cannot put two hard disk, just trying to say you can put two of different brand, but no point.
Casing you can choose to upgrade or downgrade, not nessecery to stick with that casing, i just put it there so it is easier to see the price of the full system.
GTX460 is a mid range graphics card, does play recent games with direct X 11 quite well, not much lag, as long as you dont turn up all the effects setting to the maximum
If you are not into heavy overclocking, the original Fan that comes with the Intel I7 860 is sufficient enough for gaming, etc. If you want to make your system run cooler, or looks more powerful, you can invest in a 3rd party CPU cooler like the CoolerMaster V8, which cost $85
Pillow, WD Green slow as boot drive. :(
WD Blue is 62 @ Video Pro.
This guy named BigMan or something like that on VRZone is selling a WD Blue.
Register there and contact him if interested.
Power saving is the way to go!
Should i tell TS to run core I7 with one core only?
Eh that's a good idea too!
Heard this way saves more power than Sempron LE leh!
