need help in gaming desktop again..

  Hi everyone. I am thinking of getting the graphic card Gigabyte HD5870 (GV-R587UD-1GD) but not sure if whether it is good. Anyone can suggest me with a build and the approx cost needed for getting a suitable system for this card? I will be using this CPU for some intensive gaming. Thank for the help.

  If just gaming, pretty much any build will do(since you already decided on graphics card)...just depends on your budget.

  But i believe i have to get a system that is able to enable the graphic card to run at its fullness potential? Like the powersupply and ram? And is this graphic card good?

  The 5870 is an excellent card, meant for playing games at their maximum quality settings.

  Heard that a 5850 + Phenom II X4 runs nicely on a Corsair CX400...

  Can an M12II 520 run a PhIIX4 + 5870. :D

  Can. But 870 supports CFX, and the 620 has the juice to power 2 5870s. You know, future-proofing?

  Once ATI northern islands come out, 5870 would probably be pushed to mid-range. =p

  That's late next year. First to come is Southern Islands, a 5XXX refresh due to come late this year. So 5870 will be high-end for another year or so.

  The Seasonic M12II 520W is enough. It retails for about $119, IIRC.

  I will be downgrading from my PCP&C 610 to an M12 520 later this year.

  Do you want to buy my 610?
  There's nothing wrong with it, just that cable management with it is a PITA due to my mATX case.

   

  Other than that, power delivery is rock solid and its quite silent, unless your case has bad venting.

  Hw much will you be selling your 610? Anyway will the build raraken suggest be able to produce enough resolution for a 32 inch full hd lcd tv?

  The 5870 is meant to play games at 2560x1600. Full HD is 1920x1080/1920x1200.

   

  It will spank the game at Full HD :P
