HS1000 is meant for gaming. Moray is more for music than gaming. I use in-ears like the Moray for my MP3 player, and my Sennheiser headphones for gaming. I find earphones better for music, but headsets are better for gaming. What are you going to use it for?
I should redirect you to VR-Zone's forums. They have more expertise. Anyway, post your queries in the "Hardware Arena" section.
well i plan to use it for both purposes. But would like one that is portable and can be used my mobile devices.

The Steelseries Siberia is a decent one. Powerful bass, and uses the regular 3.5mm HS jack. It doesn't come cheap though.
I second the Steelseries Siberia.
Though it is by no means an audiophile item, it is still a very decent headphone choice.
Software refers to using in-game sound engine to render. Hardware means using your sound card to render. I'd rather you use software here.
