A few questions.

  There are a few questions that i wish to ask..

   

  1)what is the most powerful brightness rating flashlight that a civilan can own?

  2)i am looking for a flash light that has the 2 buttons, tactical flash button and on/off button, must be study enough to withstand high impact for it's body,and it's beam must be bright enough to blind someone for a good while.could you guys recommend me one? it's brightness rating is blinding for someone  ?>1 minute.

  I think the so called 105lumens 3W cree led selling for 30 plus bucks at homefix stores is bright enough to daze me already.

  Those pelican ones that use strange sized batteries must be really bright, coz they are so expensive. If you can't afford the batteries, your torch will never be bright.

  Most powerful/brightest a person can own> No idea.

  There are a few catch, the battery life (how long can it shine so bright?)
  The bulb itself, some bulbs can shine certain lumain for certain hours only, afterwhich, even the batt full power also will be not so bright.(Its due to the filiment issue)

  i can go on & on bout tourchlight to searchlight to projector light with at least 10 years of buying & using it on various application,from in wild mountains to under water diving..
  You want the beam of light to shine how far? Shine through what?
  what is your application? You want your light to shine a beam of light "tightly focus on a spot or what", some LED bulbs tourchlight can shine out many lumens, they consume less electricity thus can shine longer but the design/technology is nothing special> they give out spread out light. That is unless you willing to pay money for those that are specially designed & for serious application, then you will happy with it.

  **As per ur post, you want it to tahan, get pelican (not their recoil series), mine crack, i sent it back to usa then they sent me a new body for torchlight.

  If you jus want to blind ppl for a while, take $3.50/- for a kuku LED small small tourch & a box of china 3AAA battery, its good enough liao.

  You cannot be a person that got go diving, if you do, you will not be here asking liao..So you may need to go into mountains, mountain got fog, then what you need is not white colour light. Colour light temp issue. Many lumens shine on fog, you will only see the fog, cos of light refraction, you need the correct light to shine through it.

  So again, what is your application???

  I don't think there's a limit. THe only limit should be on your wallet :P
