Users will simply have to switch off their modems and switch on again to experience the new speeds.
Details here:

Last time they did something in reaction to Starhub.

I don't think so. Best they can do is increase up to 25Mbps, max for ADSL IIRC.
But, a speed boost would be nice :P Many times I kena limit of 1.3MB/s download speed. Sucks to know you just reached the limit of your internet connection.
considering that the modem and routers I'm using are Ancient (2005) by today's standards - the early Linksys G routers and Starhub Modems.
I'm very happy with my speed.
gotta wait & see if OpenNet can beat this..
Opennet doesn't need to beat a thing. They will tell you those speeds above are what you get on a really lousy day, for upstream.
Singnet should do something right about now. -.-

my modem, i think, is even older. i started on MaxOnline since the 1.5Mbps era...using a Motorola SB5100 cable modem. what's ur model of your modem? however, i'm using a Linksys Draft-N router, but my current laptop is connected via LAN cable..
Using Maxonline premium,
Thank you Starhub for the free upgrade!
