Settings for D-Link DSL-G604T

  Hi, I noticed that this topic " Help needed with this D-Link DSL-G604T" has closed.
  
  My SpeedTouch has died on me and my friend has kindly passed me his D-Link DSL-G604T to replace SpeedTouch because I needed something with wireless features as well.

  I tried to follow the solution in the previous thread including the additional Auto User DNS settings but to no avail.

  Is there a new DNS since then?

  To add on, the DLink technical support officer also asked to attach the modem directly to the phone socket, bypassing the splitter, and either way, the adsl LED still blinks. He says that this probably means the modem is faulty. Is there any other option to revive this modem?
