What are you using it for?
For RAM, 3GB is enough.(triple channel)
For graphics card, get one which can voltage tweak.

Screw voltage tweaking.
Anyway, if you get the first bundle with the 920, get the MSI HD5770. Corbell (for MSI) has one of the best reputations in SG, along with CDL for Gigabyte. XFX's distro, Kaira, is the exact opposite. Absolute **** customer service. Ban Leong is quite okay, except their service centre is not what I'd call convienient. Unless you live near Ubi.

It seems that the 920 D0 stepping is better than the 930,wonder why.
u noe y... u noe tat i7-860 is better than 900 series... i jus wonder y ....

hmm... not exactly.. 860 is using 1156 socket (older) while 900 using 1366 socket (newer)

You got it wrong. 1156 is newer, but it's a mainstream-class socket. 1366 is older, but is aimed at enthusiasts and power-users.

Simple: If someone comes here to ask for help with DIY PCs, it is unlikely he knows much about current generation parts, or even at all. Voltage tweaking is meant for enthusiasts who want to get the most out of their system. I do not recommend giving novice system builders extra features that could screw-up their system, because voltage tweaking is extremely dangerous if done incorrectly. High chance to kill the GPU, and that is not covered under warranty. So, $200+ gone.

860 is faster than 920 due to the fact that it's Turbo Boost clocks are higher than the 920. The 920 and other 1366 CPUs are meant for those who require high-bandwidth, high connectivity and big expansion paths.
should i get XFX Raedeon HD 5770 x2 or jus 1 alone VGA.. i not sure...becoz onli 1 GB per HD 5770 sian lah....

1GB is normal lah. Also, don't get XFX. If card spoil, be prepared to face one of the worst customer services. If can, go ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte or Powercolor. If can, get 2. But, you might as well get 1 HD5850. Best performance-per-watt card around.

oops my bad
I'd advice against getting XFX cards. They cheap out on the quality of their card circuit boards, and customer service is far from excellent.

He does not have to tweak first.
You must remember that once you buy the graphics card, you cant change it.
Don't live to regret it.
A 5750/5770 with voltage tweaking is really a worthwhile buy.
MSI R5750/70 can voltage tweak.

You must remember: Not all people UNDERSTAND the risks involved with voltage tweaking. I have seen spoilt graphics cards with tell tale signs of voltage tweaking - charring of VRM area, burn marks, warping of card etc. So what happens to the warranty? Fried also lar.
My advice: Rather than push your luck and risk voiding your 3-year warranty with Corbell, might as well get a faster card to begin with, like the HD5850. There are benches of 5850 cards reaching over 1GHz without voltage tweaking.
Do not give a novice the means to accomplish a task he is not ready for. It's like giving a kid with dreams of being a pro racer the keys to an F1 car. He might just, jump in and screw himself up. And as for your "cannot change" thing, just about every 5750/70 can tweak. You just need the balls to do it.
Don't live to regret burning your $200+ card and, more likely than not, voiding your warranty at the same time. If you wish to experiment, do it on obsolete hardware you're never going to miss. How do you think I managed to learn all my PC skills? I never experiment with current generation hardware until I know I have learnt enough.

My previous generation hardware cant even tweak.
My experiments are all on current hardwares.
Just leave out those which are unsafe.
