Hi all!
I'm planning to buy the Intel SSD x25-v this sunday.
SLS got sell right?
Another thing, how do i transfer my OS from the HDD?
Googled results dind't provide good answers for me.
Thanks.
SLS have. You just gotta know where.
You can use an image cloning software to clone your current OS onto the X25-V. I suggest Easeus, pretty solid freeware.

Can tell me where? =)

You can always try Chamoxa on the 6th floor, they got all kinds of high end shit.
PC Themes also seems to stock them. If you're going on Sunday then I should be able to find out by then where still got stock.
Use a HDD backup/cloning tool (eg. Norton Ghost), create an image from your system partition and restore it onto your SSD.

Edit: Didn't notice Raraken has already posted a reply on this.
Also, if transferring OS between Used HDD with data inside, will the data get corrupted?
Do i need to create a new partition for it instead?
@Latecomerx: Norton ghost version 15 is it?

Data won't get corrupted. No, they will copy everything from the original HDD and paste it into the new HDD, sector-for-sector. If something was at, say, Sector 28,112 of the original HDD, the software will copy that to Sector 28,112 of the new HDD. It clones the data.

Norton Ghost isn't free.
And Easeus Disk Copy couldn't boot in DOS mode with my thumbdrive.
Bought the x25-v from PcThemes at 188. they still got alot stock lol.

Are you sure your thumbdrive has been made bootable? IMO, use a CD and make it bootable. Much better results.
I am also thinking of transplanting my hdd to a ssd in future. Thank you all for the info above.

In the past, i used it to flash the gpu bios so yes it sure is bootable.
I even used it to run the intel ssd firmware update tool.Regarding the transfer of OS, i did a backup of the C: drive and did a recovery on the SSD.
Weird way but it managed to work out fine, just that it is booting up in recovery mode.
The error message boot.mgr not present if i didn’t remember wrongly.

Booting from the recovery mode, means booting from the HDD before it can actually boot from the SSD. But the boot time already improved alot compare to the HDD itself. So it doesn't really matter.
But i would do the repair if i found the disk.

Then did you make sure the BIOS is set to boot from the SSD first, not the HDD
the HDD has bootmgr so i have to boot from the HDD then SSD.
Direct SSD booting won't work.
My C drive is the SSD, that is the most important thing.

Cheh. If you can repair bootmgr on the SSD, then it's even faster.
I know, but all the googled guides require the installation disk.

The Windows 7 Beta CDs will work just fine for the purpose.

Windows 7...lol xD
Thanks i forgot i was using Windows 7 lol.
I kept thinking that i was using Vista.
I found the disk.
I remembered that the guy who "diy" my pc put it in the motherboard box.
Though it was good news to have found the disk, but they are no recovery options inside...only installation of Windows 7.
Anyway, i found out the cause of the error.
The System Reserved drive 100MB which is supposed to be at the start of the disk, and that it is not present on the SSD.
What will be the best way to solve this? There is currently data on the SSD.

Read the article I posted above and attempt the steps inside. That usually solves the boot up issues I have if I FUBARed my OS or BOOTMGR.
Problem solved.
Boot up now takes only 7 seconds.
