Log in - please help

  Hi.

  My staff left the company.  She did not hand over anything to her colleague.  Now we need to log in to her pc but it is password protected.  Is there anyway we can over-ride the password?  The password is required when we log after the computer booted up.

  Extract the HDD, plug it in another PC, and access from there.

  Anyway, the best way is to contact that staff and ask.

  For free, you can use Ophcrack. THey have 2 versions, 1 for XP and 1 for Vista. Download the .iso, burn as a bootable disc using ImgBurn and boot form the CD. It will search the computer for passwords and login names.

  or u can try ubuntu live CD .. choose boot from CD > Try Ubuntu without any change to your computer .. there was once my XP OS could not boot up and i used this method to access my saved data ..

  Just use a thrid party software to erase to blank password.
