I bought a new Dell laptop 2 months ago.
1st incident was CD inserted and did not eject. Restart comp and it pops out..
Now, it kept rejecting any CD / DVD that is inserted into the slot..ie..push CD in, immediately pop out again... tried numerously times, nope no success just would not accept any CD or DVD..Reboot system, nope, still the same...
My OS is Window 7 (just in case u might need to know)..
The repair centre is at Senoko and it's far.....if there is a self-fix way..I appreciate advises on how to do it..
Cheers..

Opening up the casing may void the warranty
A dvd writer cost around $35-$40
The most important part is checking whether the drive uses IDE or SATA connection
If it is SATA, it will just be a small flat power cable, and a small thin data cable
If it is IDE, it will be the flat and long
never hear that song meh................
