  hi all i new i need some help because  recently i checked my computer and then i installed a total 2560mb (1gb +1gb+512)ram

   

  but when i go to bios that said  installed 2560mb ram but i login but only dectected 1gb of ram why ?

  pls help

  i running window xp home edition 32 bit

  if im right, theres a limit to the RAM usage of a windows XP. I only know vista and 7 can utilize 2gb or more ram. 

  if not, try to reinsert it again? wait for the pros to help you.

  Switch the sticks around? Or test them individually? Boot up the computer using each stick, and see if XP properly recognizes it.
