I recently reformatted my PC, now I wanted to transfer songs from my Iphone to back to PC. Tried googled for solutions but so far no satisfactorily answers, all suggest use those paid software. This is getting frustatrating when your Iphone can do alot of stuff, but it can't do simple things like transfering songs back to PC. Kinda reminds me of the old PSP when it is so difficult to even put videos into it when they advertise it as one of their features.
Do they use usb cable or some sort ?
yes
I think you need to use itunes, that is what i heard
I dont own an iphone so i duno
I believe all it takes is iTunes and the data cable...not sure cos I dont store songs in my iphone.Works for pictures when I sync it though.
iphone uses itunes to transfer songs via data cable. but if you didnt do it via itunes in the first place, i am not sure if it will work for you if you didnt transfer the songs via itunes in the first place, but you might as well try it and see how

ok. now i know my concept above is only one way street from comp to iphone.
i guess there is no easy way out. the options on apple website are even worse than getting 3rd party sw to do the job, due to their copyright protection mechanisms.
iTunes only works for syncing music from PC to iPhone not from iPhone to PC.
Have you check out http://www.i-funbox.com/ I never try it personally and it only works on Windows though.

HI fellow iphone user,
If you want to copy ur music back from your iphone to pc. very simple. all you need to do is install itunes 1st to get the iphone driver up so windows can see ur iphone. Next you need a freeware called "Sharepod" here is the link http://www.getsharepod.com/
After you install sharepod, then you can use it to copy all ur music to your pc.
Hopes it works for you as it work for me =)
Fantastic, now find an app that can copy/transfer contacts from iphone, back to the SIM card.
