Hi all. As i am new in DIY computers, i would deeply appreciate if you could offer me some advice. My budget for my rig is around 1k or so, i have my monitor kb and mouse already. Priority goes to processor and graphics and im not sure if gaming relies heavily on processor and graphics.
Take a look at this thread first:
Look at the Thousand plus range.
Are you looking for a graphics card that will support direct X 11? If yes you may need to change to a ATI 5000 series card
Update us again
Anyways, im looking @ C2Quad 2.66GHz processor and HD 4890 HDMI. I was wondering if my budget could fit these 2 with the rest of the parts

I requested Pillow to start de. There's an influx of people coming here to start DIY PC threads, and I believe the sticky thread created by Pillow as well as posts written by other contributors are detailed and well-written enough to answer most of their queries.
To thread-starter:
I'll be locking up this thread. Please continue your discussion at the thread mentioned.
