Hi all.
Problems again. Haha.
My gf just got a new laptop with Symantec-Endpoint Protection enabled. It's not really a bad thing but whenever she wants to run some programs, it'll automatically identify the threat and delete it.
Although it seems like a bad idea, but is there any way to disable Symantec-Endpoint Protection so that the anitvirus won't do anything? Or is there a "Ignore a threat" so that the laptop can just carry on with whatever she's doing?
Thanks a lot :)
What's the model of the Norton Anti virus?
It should be under the Antivirus settings. You have to navigate and find the option to disable it.
I presume your girlfriend's laptop is preloaded with windows 7.
You can also do this
Symantec Endpoint is usually meant for enterprise. Ask her administrator for help.
Even if you somehow manage to find the "disable" button, it will likely not work if the administrator configures it correctly.
The other way is to uninstall it... but if it belongs to an enterprise, it may be password protected to prevent it from being uninstalled.
By the way, what program is she running to cause Symantec to wake up?
