2nd this one. The MX5021 is pretty damn powerful (IMO anyway), sad I missed it when someone was selling his set :(

turn the bass down. there's always a bass knob there for that purpose.

There's a variety of speaker options, tech options, presets to choose from. (e.g Headphones, stereo, laptop speakers, quadraphonic and 5.1 surround)
Tech(Circle surround II, TruSurround XT, WOW HD, headphones 360)
Advance options are also available. You can tune these options to your needs like your bass, if you dont want the bass to be loud you can set it low. Speaker size *Hz, Output gains, SRS dialog clarity are also in the advance options.

are you tweaking sounds with your computer's in built equalisers?
either you make small adjustments of up to +3dB, or forget it.
don't boost 9dB on the 62Hz channel and expect the PC to output clean sound. it's just not happening.

don't mislead him by giving him the false image that good sound can be had from this cracked software and a pair of $5 speakers. not happening.
