HP Laptop motherboard faulty

  Hi,

   

  Can anyone suggest whether i need to do repair on this laptop and scrap it ? How much repair cost

  If it's not under warranty, just get a new laptop, there's no point fixing it, not worth the costs. ps: My HP mobo suffered the same fate as yours

  the data's in the hard disk, not the motherboard. Just remove your hard disk, get an usb external casing and you will be able to access your data.

  Shouldn't cost you much. Can't remember the exacts. $20 for the casing?

  i got my casing for just $12 from CyberMind...cheapest i can ever find...

  most notebook size 2.5". make sure you get the right size of case so that you can extract the files fro that hdd. otherwise just for one time use just borrow fromsomeone else. motherboard faulty you diagnosis? how sure are the claims?

   

  is it sata interface? if so you can jst connect the hdd to a spare computer you have not as the boot drive so you can still read from it via the comp's runnning OS at C.
