  XP Home/Windows 7 Starter, N270/N280, 1GB DDR2 and 160GB HDD. Only difference is the brand. Go for MSI Wind, good quality netbooks, and the distro is very helpful and friendly, hassle-free. I've been to teh office 3 times already, damn good service.

  Netbook or Notebook?

   

  Netbook means ION. ~$800.

   

  Notebook means Intel Pentium/AMD Turion based with Integrated graphics.

   

  Personally, for notebooks, I'd go with AMD Turion, especially those with HD3200 graphics. Awesome stuff, much better than any Intel offering.
