Buying a new laptop, need HELP

I intend to buy Fujitsu L1010TP. Wonder if its good? I have no idea what are specs or anything. Just wanna buy a good laptop. If its not THAT good can give suggestions? Oh and I can't find that model anywhere :l so tell me where I can buy also. :)

Hi, im a computer idiot but i'll try my best. firstly what is your main purpose for the laptop? so far i've been using hp/ compaq and that is fine with me for browsing the internet, work, and light gaming. are you looking for vista or 7? if you are not into gaming, i recommend you get Intel® Core™2 Duo 2.26 ghz and above, at least 2gb ram and 320gb hard disk . im not sure about graphics, but this is my com specs: window vista home premium, Intel® Core™2 Quad, 2gb ddr3 ram, nvidia geforce g210 512mb, its running pretty smoothly. try taking a look at the newspapers, i saw many offers for under 1k.

rule of the thumb. for casual usage u can consider getting a notebook under 1K. unless you got specific needs. ask urself. do you need pcmcia slot? more USB slot? internal DVD drive? high battery life? high speed graphic card? if u got no clue, go to any neighborhood shopping for some ideas. good luck.

btw u can try funan center or sim lim square to check.

Makes me wonder why you want to buy it when you know nothing of the product in question.
If it retails for ~$1k with the 9300M GS, perfectly fine. If not, look elsewhere for a laptop.
And please, tell us what you're gonna use it for, not just say, "Is this good?" or "Help me choose a laptop pls!". We need to know what features you need, battery life, price etc.

Rofl i'm searching for a laptop too, But need it for multi-tasking and gaming abit.

@ Pwned32 i guess almost any laptop with 2.0ghz and 2gb ram should be fine. newspapers have many offers for the xmas sale. most are under 1k.

I need one with high battery life , just for casual net surfing , no gaming .
good cooling , doesnt overheats
perhaps a netbook ?

i using fujitsu lifebook, fully charge in battery saving mode last about 4 and half hour ... nice last me for the whole lecture and lab .. .no need to bring charger -

ASUS UL80vt. My sis has one, 9+ hours of battery life, and it has a graphics card too for occasional gaming.

ya Alienware but thing is, 4-6kg not fun to bring outside. LOL! yeh budget isn't a problem right now.

Get an ASUS. One of the F8's (I think) has a GT220M graphics card, 14". Or you could go Lenovo, my friend has one with a GT230M, 14" as well.
