hi all ive got this problem when i play games like cs on steam as well as gta iv...
after playing for a while, whenever i press any keyboard button for example "w" to walk, the game hangs (when i continue pressing down that button) and a beeping sound is heard...
the admin in one of the cs servers said that its because i pressed the button for too long...
i have never got this problem before with my old com so i was wondering if there was anyway to get it removed...
thanks!
maybe com lag? try do a virus scan? or maybe u got a macro for yr "w" key
might be beacuse you have press too many buttons at a time or you have pressed one of the buttons for too long.. this always happens to me..

nope... i think its because i might have pressed alt and shift at same type, causing some problem with the language bar...

same leh TS.
When i play GTA 4, after a while the game hangs and i get a beeping/pinging sound.
Its very random and mostly happens after 1 hr of playing.
GTA 4 PC version gives lots of problems, and rockstar games knows about this.

Alt + Shift? Why do you need to use this command? Anyway, most keyboards will NOT accept 3 keypresses simultaneously for a prolonged period of time. Sure, 1 burst (Like Ctrl+Alt+Del) will do fine, but whatever you were doing with 3 keys at the same time, for a prolonged period will not be registered and the 'ding' sound will play.
Could be due to Sticky Keys.
Pressing Ctrl, alt or shift activates it.
You could test this out.
Since i don't play this game, i cant give you more comments.
Good Luck!

alt + shift could have been pressed accidentally... but this problem only occurs when playing gta 4 or cs but not cod mw 2

Try playing those games with another keyboard. It's impossible NOT to have another keyboard around the house.

hmmm, u telling me to give up my razer arctosa for a logitech keyboard :) ?
Restart the game then ok already right?
I do have this problem on my another comp for office work, after adding in another stick of ram, the beeping problem did not appear for a longer playing period
Maybe because you are on an onboard graphics, and the ram that it took to utilise for the game's graphics is not enough for the resolution. Try to turn down the resolution and effects and try again
Adding a graphics card solved the problem for me, was playing left 4 dead 2
I don't think it is the sticky keys, i dont really remember pressing a lot of keys except for wasd, and mouse, or did i press another keys accidently?
ghosting
