Anyone have any idea if i can use AVG for company usage? Is there any copy right law govern against this? I notice that the avg http://free.avg.com/us-en/avg-anti-virus-7-licence-agreement-eula mentioned that it is for home use thereof.
Is it alright if i use it for company usage on a large scale basis?
Help!
Thanks
Not on company usage please. the GNU covers only home usage and not for commercial use.

obviously not. the eula says only for home and personal non-commercial/profit use. company usage on large scale basis obviously don't fall under that.................

Hi, thanks for the prompt reply guys, i see.. currently my new IT support guy removed alot of my company's anti-virus to install AVG.. i'm quite worried now that u guys're telling me that it's not right.
Are we just violating the right for technical support from AVG or is it something more serious?
Any idea where can i get more information? Might have to consider purchasing Anti virus softwares.. where to find cheap deals?
Thanks!
AVG has company versions as well I think. It's only the free one that's free and well restricted.
You should get your IT department to do and justify these things.

for company, no such thing as cheap deals. Another way to bypass this law is for the company to sponsor the employees in buying the computers and as such the ownership is now passed to employees and thus avg 7.0 can be downloaded legally.
I see...alright, it's is quite costly.. about 100 over computers are installed with AVG at the moment and i haven't heard of any anti-virus violation yet.. but better be safe than sorry.. okay thanks guys!
If you want free for office use, there's Microsoft Security Essentials. Or you could go for Comodo.

Hi Ptky1010,
The agreement you have posted up only applies to the free version of AVG only. Your company is likely to have bought one of these:
