Hi people,
I've got this laptop, Dell Inspiron 6400, which the brightness is too low, and I have to get near a light source, so that I could see..
It's running on Windows XP.. Everything can boot fine, I can log on to windows, just that I couldn't really see the screen (I have to use a light and then I can see, but stil, what if I want to work in low-light conditions, I have to squint my eyes like that).. Not sure what's the problem though, since it's my Uncle's..
He said he inserted a CD to watch a movie.. Everything went well then when he came back from the kitchen to grab some stuffs, the screen went damn dark.. I think when plugged into projector, it's bright enough.. But still, cant see from the screen..
I've also checked the Intel graphic properties, everything is on default, and the brightness (Pressing the Fn + Up arrow key) was already full...
how old is ur notebook? i think the LCD back light is spoil already. that is y u r having brightness problem.
