new comp

  hi guys!
  i just got a new comp..
  
  here are the specs as listed..
  
  
  
  
  Intel Core i7-920 processor
  (2.66GHz, 8MB cache, 4.8GT/s Intel QPI)
  
  Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
  NVDIA GeForce GT230 Graphics card
  (1.5GB Dedicated RAM)
  6GB RAM, 1TB HDD
  DVD Super Multi Layer Drive
  Multi in 1 card reader
  Wireless 8.02.11b/g/Draft-N LAN
  
  
  i paid 2000 for it.. isit worth it?
  and any other place i can upgrade?
  i'm a gamer, not really intensive, but i like to open many web pages while gaming..

  Sound like Acer to me :P

   

  Anyway, you might find the GT230 lacking in some areas, but the specs are pretty decent. I'd say good buy, if you don't like or are hesitant to build your own CPU.

  Thats a pretty decent comp there, value for that price. Its a good buy.

  hahaha! I waiting for the gtx 300 series. So currently only interested in Casing and liquid cooling if the fans not working out.

  Currently ATI is best cause of their 5000 Series, But Nvidia has develop their 300 series. So for now ATI is the topdog but not for long.

  Your "...but not for long" sounds like you know Fermi is going to be much more faster than Cypress XT. NVidia has to pull a fairy form a hat if they want to win, if their FP Dual Precision is of any benchmark.

  the price for that 1TB hdd you can pay for the 74gb western digital raptor. good faster for loading OS and games with large maps.
