Hey guys my labtop is a DELL xps m1330 .
If u wanna see the specs it is here on this webbie http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/dell-xps-m1330/4505-3121_7-32465545.html
mine is a 4gb ram . I dont know why i cant play normal games like dragon age origins, resident evil . Whenever i play the game it lags like hell .
Is it cause my labtop cant take the graphics of the game ? But my labby is kina new less then one year old . So i dont see why i cant play such games . Plus it`s a 2dual core so i dont see why it`s so lag.
Is there any settings i should change to make my labby move faster ?

Dell XPS M1330 (Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 (2MB Cache/2.0GHz/800Mhz FSB), 160GB HDD, 4GB RAM)

Most likely due to the low performance integrated graphics card.
If it is due to the integrated graphics card, there is not much you can do about it.
mostly its because of your graphic card is crap.
can you tell us the Graphic card model?
It seems your model comes with 2 choices: Intel's integrated 3100 graphic or Nvidia GeForce Go 8400 (128MB VRAM).
If it's GeForce, I say have you tried it on the lowest setting available for the games? Most importantly, you will have to turn off shadow. Turning off shadow helps improve graphic performance alot.
If it's Intel's integrated graphic, sorry boy, your laptop ain't made for the more "intense" gaming. Do take comfortable that you can play still play some light games like Maplestory, flash games, Maplestory and flash games (Pun intended).
Btw, 4GB ram very big meh? It can't do shit for gaming if your graphic card sucks and you are only able to utilise it up to 3GB max for 32-bit Windows OS.
I think yours should be the X3100. Considering my friend has the M1330, 1.86GHz C2D, 2GB RAM, 8400M GS and is still able to play MW2 fluently, DA:O should have no problems whatsoever running on the system. Neither should Resident Evil. Unless of course, you one of those people expect highly of their PC and then go set everything maximum.
RAM isn't everything. Don't believe everything salespeople tell you.
Age isn't everything either. I could go SLS and get one of those eMachines by Acer and I still can't play anything. Or, I could just use my 4 year old Mac and play games (whatever games I can find, anyway).
Ahhh ok so it`s due to my lousy grahpics card . Well i guess this labtop is not made for gaming .
Nope mine is the xps m1330 it`s written in the top left hand corner of the labtop.
I think mine is the Intel's integrated 3100 the standard one . Did not changed it when i bought it .
Btw if i changed my OS to windows 7 instead of windows vista which lags so much . Do you guys think it`ll help the lag ?
maybe cos u dl too much stuff and eat up too much memory? idk or slow connection speed from internet?
It`s not an online game .
And i dont have much prog running . cpu usage is only 6% and memory use is 1.3 gb only .
I think it`s the graphics card . Can anyone confrim that a integrated graphics card can`t play even normal games like dragon age orgins .
I still wanted to play mw3
intergrated graphic cards r bad for gaming plus most lappys are not built for gaming in the first place.

Yes, we can. Integrated cards are only useful for extending battery life, not playing any type of game.

Lag in OS or lag in game? If lag in OS, then yes, 7 is better. If about lag in game, sorry, old dog cannot learn new tricks.
1. Your graphic card sucks, do something about it.
2. Even though you have a 4gb ram, is your OS a 32-bit or 64-bit?
( I bet yours is a 32-bit. Which means 2gb of your ram is wasted. )
3. Your internet connection speed sucks.
4. DEFRAG YOUR FRIGGIN LAPTOP
( Use Auslogics Defrag, go google it yourself. )
with 4gb of ram running,Window vista will not be a problem, so its not the OS fault.
if you want to get a laptop for gaming, i suggest either go for alienware or asus.
and gaming laptop don't come cheap.
so i would prefer getting a desktop for gaming where by its like 1/2 of a Gaming laptop.
and of cos desktop would be much more stable.
How much did you pay for this laptop? Was it bought from poly?
Alienware rocks. Hahaha.

Eh PWNED, you got Alienware ah? Got the bling?
m17x. bought it at dell @ funan.
check the graphics card via device manager.
post back here.
also, do check your power plan.
high performance is the best

Yup, Sometimes your power plan might set to balance or battery saver mode which don't let you use your full gfx card performance.
