Just in time, I'm going SLS today with my family, gonna research "gaming" netbooks a.k.a ION netbooks. I'll get some pricelists for you.
ION netbooks?

An ion (Chemistry) would be a positively charged atom, usually after having been oxidized in a redox reaction.. An ION (Branding) refers to the positively-charged Atom, which can only be accomplished by pairing the anaemic CPU with a decent graphics processor.
Anyway, looked through the pricelists I got, will post what I can gather here.
i7 920 + Rampage II Gene = $805 from Best Price, with Bell Systems and Video-Pro coming in 3rd and 2nd respectively, $814 and $810.
3x2GB DDR3 - Geil DDR3-1333 CL9 6GB from mynextcom $187 <-Eh Pillow, still work here? Your flyer A3 size liao
MSI HD5770 1GB - $259 From mynextcom, Bell Systems, Best Price ........... You get it, all same price XP
OCZ PCP&C Silencer EPS 610W - $169, Best Price and Video-Pro (I think) Not many stock this one

MSI HD 5770 1GB so cheap ah? Must buy sia!
Paiseh, my turn to hijack :P
Would getting the OCZ Reaper PC2-6400 or the OCZ Platinum PC2-6400 be better? Assuming both are about the same price?
And would it be better for me to get the HD5770 or spend some extra cash on the HD5850?
I support HD 5850 Seems awesome!
Make sure you buy a Razer mousepad like de Destructor. I had Razer Lachesis and i cant use on normal mouse pads. the cursor will move around or shakes when you left click the mouse.(quite hard to click icons)

Q6600
2x2GB OCZ Reaper
3x160GB HDD (1 OS, 2 AID 0)
HD5850 (When price drops) or an NVidia card (See performance 1st)
.....and NVidia 630i in a Compaq OEM case
I'm searching for a good case, Do you have any recommendation? Plus liquid cooling? If you have the time to drop by SLS, Check for me thank you?
I think Core-i7 920 its quite expensive, I went to PC Themes Technology and saw their prist list.
Was wondering whether PC Themes Technology is a good place to buy the processor, graphic card, motherboard & the casing ?
Anyway, I asked for Corsair ddr3-1333 rams & they quoted me $200+ for 3 in a package, not too sure if it is reasonable.

Bro, i7 9XX series not cheap, but they are the best of the best, highly overclockable chips. You want cheap, go Socket 1156. You want cheaper, go AMD.
Look around, get pricelists from every shop, then compare. That's what I did for my post on prices above liao.
DDR3-1333, $200+ is reasonable if it is 6GB kit. 3GB kit is about $180.

Hey, there is such a thing called www.hardwarezone.com where everyone can check the prices at SLS instead of going down to SLS to check prices leh.

Hello Raraken, i tot AMD is equally ex, i7 is definitely ex, dun understand why but which is faster, AMD Phenom II x 4 model 955 or 965 compared with i7 9XX ?
Most probably I would like to get the AMD Phenom II x 4 model 955 or 965, can you pls advise me which motherboard I should buy, preferably ASUS with overclocking ability (wat is the price diff between overclocking & non-overclocking)?
Too many motherboard, I really don't know how to choose, pls reco me. Also I intend to buy Corsair rams, was told Corsair always sell in a package $250 +-, never in pieces, don't know true or false. Me looking at ddr3 -1333 6gb kit.
tks appreciate that.
forget to add on, I want a fast system
For me i just take Core i7, I'm using it now. Quite fast and better multi-tasking abilities.

AMD is cheap, but fast. Intel cannot beat on Price-to-performance! But Intel wins in pure performance lah.
Lets take the Phenom II 955, $265
And Intel's closest priced chip: Q8400 and E8400.
A quick check on Anandtech reveals that the 955 is superior. Also, the 955 is FULLY UNLOCKED. Easy overclocking.
I will suggest Gigabyte, 790FX/GX or 785G mobos. Asus tends to be very expensive. I'm planning to get the GA MA785GT-UD3H, apparently it has very good overclocking even with locked chips.
You want 6GB kit? That is Intel i7 memory. Look for a 4GB kit. Or 2 kits :P
I can suggest Team Group RAM. Their Team Xtreem and Team Xtreem Dark kits are pretty good. OCZ is excellent as well.
Haha Raraken alot of info larh you LOL!

Good what. Need to be specific, later he go buy wrong board, like AM2+ for DDR2 then how? Like some SiS chipset or something? :P
Come to think of it, I haven't seen any SiS AMD chipset :P
Hahaha. I would never touch AMD, I don't know why though.
