sound on computer

urmm hi all.. first i need to say i know absolutely NOTHING about computer..
recently my bro, a very very busy person, has find the time to help me change my computer from window XP to window 7.. when done.. there is no sound...
so i told him to help me make the computer can got sound one... then he downloaded something called SRS and REALTEK... i dunno wats that...
now i dunno wat to do with it... he seems very busy.. i feel a bit bad keep pestering for help on my own computer...
so i hope that someone can teach me wat to do with those 2 folders to make my computer able to produce sound... so can anyone help me with it?

They are the drivers, when you have hardware, you need drivers. Like a car, you need a driver for it to work
By right windows 7 comes loaded with some drivers. How old is your computer?
Just install the setup.exe in the folder and see if there is sound, if no sound, uninstall them and install another one

my computer is estimated about 3 yrs old..
urmm i install anyone? the realtek or srs? just try one if not the other? -
