Computer decent enough to play CoD

  I'm looking for a desktop to play cod without much lag. My budget is around 1k -1.2k

  -E8400

  -2/4GB RAM

  -Good mobo (E43?)

  -HD4850($150 only liao, cheap!) or greater.

  Which call of duty series are you talking about?

  "World at war" needs more of a powerful computer to play.

  same goes for modern warfare 2. 

  CoD4 on high specs just needs a normal computer to play. (with 2.2ghz with 8800GT?)

  Modernwarefare. And maybe you could tell me the things for making the entire desktop from scratch. And I need an OS as well. Do you guys think windows 7 or XP would be better?

  I thought that the recommended settings for CoD modernwarfare 2 was 3.2gHz? Thanks for the replies btw :D

  Windows 7.

  It's more than proven to use less resources than Windows vista,  yet, runs well like windows xp.

  A 3.2 GHz Pentium 4. You can run it on any modern dual-core though. 

  Get a E8400 + Decent mobo ($300),

  about 4 GB of DDR2 ($80),

   HD4850 ($150),

  decent casing (About $70),

  a nice PSU ($70-$80),

  and Windows 7 Home Premium ($279 IIRC),

  DVD Burner ($30).
