internet banking problem for ubuntu

  I cannot load the dbs bank internet banking java applet using firefox and ubuntu OS. I downloaded java applet already and it is in my  computer...

   

  but when i go to the internet banking .. i still do not see the login bar which allows me to input my password and username?? How???

  Please install Java from Ubuntu Add/Remove Programs, not from Java's website.

  In Firefox settings, enable Java.

  thanks for advice... for firefox setting.. i checked that it has been ticked already... for addremove program... i dunno where to find the java program.... which part is it in?

  i downloaded openJDK Java 6 runtime, and webstart in the internet section of the add/remove program.. but still i cannot see the loginbox in the DBS internet banking login.

   

  what have i done wrong???

  Let's check some settings.

  Open Firefox. In the address bar, type in about:plugins and press Enter.

  Find Java and check if it says it's enabled.

  here is what i found, there are some stuff but for java part i found this

  IcedTea Java Web Browser Plugin

  File name: IcedTeaPlugin.so

  The IcedTea Java Web Browser Plugin 1.4.1 (6b14-1.4.1-0ubuntu11) executes Java applets

  
  

  
  

  
  

  
  

  It states that the java thing is enabled.. so what is wrong then?
