how 2 restore personal data after win vista restoration?

  I can see that my hardisk is not full,but i cannot find my loss data:be it in the c drive which is the only drive in the laptop or in the desktop icon folder or any folder as all folder in the desktop icon has been restore to the initial clean factory mode.

  any free data recovery software to recommend?please offer your valuable advice,thanks!

  it sounds to me like you restored your laptop to it's original settings. (Reformat) rather than system restore.

  If that's the case, you will not be able to see your data that is in your documents, music folders ect.

   

   

  What i would suggest is to dl and use this software.

   http://www.easeus-deletedrecovery.com/index.html  -

  EASEUS Deleted File Recovery V2.1.1. and give it a short. It may/maynot help you get your files back.

  thanks! kenn3th most of my files are recovered,so how do i delete those hidden files that i have recovered (which are not being displayed at all)

  must i do a factory restore,i am very sure that i done a window or system restore earlier.any advice will be greatly appreciated.thanks!

  any way how do i delete a antivirus programme that come with purchase of the laptop,as there is no delete option for except renewal subscription ( my free subscription has already expire).

  whenever i tried to install another free antivirus programme,it always prompt me to delete the existing antivirus programme.

  can you change your properties to "show all files including hidden ones?"

  as for antivirus, i thought you can go control panel and see list of programs and choose it to be removed?

  no, you do not have to do. you can ignore what i said. =) regarding the reformat.

  Anyways for the hidden files. Go to control panel and follow the picture below.

  

  then go to the folder where u restored ur hidden files.

   

  To uninstall programmes,  go to the control panel.

  

  search for the anti virus programme .. and click uninstall.
