Using a W880i. I connected the phone by USB cable to port and computer still won't detect. Despite connecting to various ports, still won't detect. Phone says it's in transfer mode though. Same problem occurs with my laptop.
Formatted Memory Stick and this still happends. Any remedies?
u got the CD? use the CD to install the drivers first, then try again.
pc problem. need to check ur usb port. got solution online but i forgot the web

hmm. and no, it's not pc problem. my ipods and mp4s are doing fine using all ports.

sometimes it just happens on certain devices. i am sure if u try it on another com it will work fine
For the very first time, you should hear a "sound" acknowledging that you have inserted a usb into a port and there should be a pop up at the bottom right hand corner of the screen stating installation of drivers. (were they successful?)
My take on this issue are that drivers or settings are not installed properly/done properly.
Settings shown on your phone such as enabling of usb transfer ect.
Try installing the necessary drivers from the CD and see if it works.
There's always a reason why they provide a CD.
even without pc suite he should be able to access only the phone memory and memory card
it depends. as stated in my post above.
yes. i know of the 'sound'. found out already.
my cable. the pins are too stuck inside the rubber. means it won't touch the phone, creating a gap. grr. gotta get a new cable.
i pulled out the pins, it worked. but only for a while.
